We all have our personal favorite restaurants and restaurant dishes. It might be fried chicken wings, baby back ribs, stuffed mushrooms, rack of lamb, or spinach pizza - whatever your particular favorite is, when it is prepared and cooked in the way that you like, you know that you will love it. Indeed, while of course the social aspect of eating in restaurant is important, if we are honest, one of the main reasons for going is of course getting to eat the foods that you love.
Of course, it is not always possible practical, convenient or affordable to go a restaurant. If you have family, especially if you have young children, it is often more practical to eat at home, particularly on school nights. And family, considerations aside, most of us simply can not afford to eat in a restaurant every single night.
But what if you could combine some of the best of eating out, with the convenience of eating at home? I am not taking about take out food - instead, what I mean by this, is what if you could prepare your restaurant style dishes at home, in your own kitchen? This is possible, provided of course that you know the recipe for the dish in question.
While it is true that many restaurant recipes are closely secrets guarded secrets, it is also true that a clever chef may also be able to figure out how to prepare dishes in the style of restaurant originals - and some such chefs have in fact published cookbooks containing these types of copycat recipes. While these copycat recipes are obviously exact copies, you can still get a lot of pleasure for preparing such dishes.
