Mold Allergy

When molds or fungi reproduces it sends tremendous numbers of spores into the air similar to plants releasing pollen into the air for reproductive purposes.  Mold spores are microscopic in size and easily become airborne and will travel throughout the central air and heading system.  If you are allergic to mold spores then whey come into contact with the skin or are inhaled, they spores trigger an allergic reaction.

If you have Mold Allergy then you suffer from Allergies Type 1, also called Contact Allergies.  Mold spores are in your environment year round.  Fresh air contains more mold spores than pollen.  The higher the humidity the higher the mold counts.

Buying the Less Expensive Home in a Neighborhood

When you’re looking at homes to buy, be sure to keep in mind the basic real estate principles of progression and regression.  In a nutshell, these principles state that it is better to buy a lower priced home in a neighborhood of varying real estate prices. 

In a neighborhood where home prices vary, the lower priced homes will increase in value because of the higher priced homes.  The more expensive homes raise the property value of the less expensive homes.  This idea is called the principle of progression.

Reasons to Live in Charleston, SC

When I talk to clients about living in Charleston, I am always interested to hear the different reasons they have for moving to (or remaining in) Charleston.  Over the years I have heard probably hundreds of reasons, but I’ve managed to narrow it down to the top ten reasons to live in Charleston:

1.  “I want to live near the beach!?  With all the beaches Charleston has to offer, we have to ask clients what kind of beach they’re looking for.  Folly Beach is a favorite among surfers and other laid-back individuals.  If you’re looking for seclusion, then maybe a private beach like Kiawah, Seabrook, or Wild Dunes is a good start.  Isle of Palms and Sullivan’s Island fall somewhere in between, and they both have public access areas.

Bee Allergy

In the Untied State the majority of stinging insect are from Bees, Yellow Jackets, Hornets, Wasps and Fire Ants.  The degree of the allergic reaction varies widely but over 2 million Americans are allergic to stinging insects.  If you are allergic to a specific insect bite or sting then the next encounter has a 60 percent chance of being as bad or worse than the previous encounter.

If you have Bee Allergy then you suffer from Allergies Type 1, also called Contact Allergies.  The immune system produces antibodies and other disease fighting cells in response to the bee sting.  The antibodies release chemicals that injure the surrounding cells.
