What Happens In Vegas The Movie - Does It Live Up To The Hype?

What happens in Vegas is a new film starring Ashton Kutcher and Cameron Diaz. Set in none other than the Sin City itself, Las Vegas, the premise of the story is that two random strangers (Kutcher and Diaz) wake up together in a Vegas hotel room after a night of drunken debauchery only to learn that they got married the night before.

To complicate matter even more, the ill-suited newlyweds discover that one of them has won a huge jackpot while playing with the others quarter. The story unfolds as the pair carefully retraces their steps in an effort to figure out who owns the lucky coin and just who the money belongs to. And of course, they fall in love along the way.

The star studded cast of “What Happens in Vegas,” includes not only Cameron Diaz, Ashton Kutcher but Rob Corddry, Queen Latifah, Treat Williams and Dennis Farina just to name a few. The film is directed by Tom Vaughan and was written by Dana Fox.

The film is full of laughs and while it doesn’t offer many surprises, you get your moneys worth and it makes for an evening well spent with your significant other. However, one of the few things that I left the theater with that I didn’t expect was an appreciation for the soundtrack.

The soundtrack to “What Happens in Vegas,” consists of a few really great tunes, in fact I can’t stop tapping my fingers to a few of them still. Vanessa Williams and Carolina Liar make up a few of the films best tracks but the real hit was the end credit song “I Hate You My Friend” by John Oszajca.
